Laura Meyer

Laura Martin graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Science. While at the University of Illinois, Laura was a research assistant in Dr. Karen Kirk’s Speech Perception lab. She went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Purdue University.
Laura has provided pediatric services across a range of settings including private clinics, schools, an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation hospital, and through the Illinois Early Intervention Program. These experiences have developed Laura’s skills in working with children in the areas of articulation and phonological delays, expressive and receptive language disorders, fluency, Autism Spectrum Disorders, executive functioning impairments, pediatric feeding disorders, and Augmentative and Alternative communication.
Laura enjoys connecting with children and their families! She is passionate about providing treatment in fun and creative ways to help children’s ability to communicate flourish. Laura holds her professional educators license, is a Certified Early-Intervention provider, and is a certified speech-language pathologist in Illinois. In her spare time, Laura likes to visit various coffee shops around any of Chicago’s numerous patios, travel to new places, and spend time with her friends and family.
